Math - my class has an assignment to do with coordinate planes, and test tomorrow on lessons up through 95, Mr. Anders class has lesson 103
Religion - finish lesson 110 page 227

Memory - I John 4:10 page 233 due tomorrow so everyone takes the test at the same time.
Social Studies - the evaluation sheets are due tomorrow
English - WS 7 front and back is due tomorrow

assignment update 4-19-11

Math - my class has lesson 100 for tomorrow. We are going to do the Investigation tomorrow and the test will be on Thurs. Mr. Anders' class has corrections
Spelling - they have a list and a project for Friday
Social Studies - they have a take home evaluation worksheet for Soc. St. it is due on Thurs. They can use their notes, they can use the book, they can ask the person in their group who had the topic they need help on. Any resource is permissible to answer the questions.
Writing Workshop - they turned in their papers today, and they started a new project, but I don't know if their is an assignment or not. If there is one it will be due Tues. not this Friday.

Reading - WS 142 is due tomorrow and the book report is due on Friday or Thurs. if leaving early.
Science - WS 2 needs to be complete if it wasn't done on Mon.
Art - anything needed for tie dying needs to be brought tomorrow or they won't be able to participate.

Church is on Thurs this week not tomorrow.

Monday newsletter 4-18-11

General I hope you had a nice Palm Sunday as preparation for Holy Week. Please remember to take some time this week to prepare for the special days that remind us of what Jesus did for us. We have church services on Thurs. at 10 am and at 7 pm also on Good Friday at 1 pm and 7 pm. We do go to school till 12:30 on Friday so you can pick up your child and go to the 1 pm service. If your child has to go to SAC that day, I would be glad to be responsible for them and they can attend church with me and then go to SAC. They also could go with a friend if their parents are attending the 1 pm service. There is no hot lunch on Friday. So everyone should pack a lunch and we will eat in the room before 12:30. If you have plans to leave after school on Thurs. please let me know so I have an idea how many people will be here Friday. It is not a regular academic day. We do various things to prepare us for the day and the Easter celebration. Next week is our Easter vacation then. I hope all of you have a very Happy and Joyous Easter and a relaxing break. Work We are having a Friday memory but I am going to have it due on Thurs. so everyone takes it at the same time. It is I John 4:10 on page 233. I don't know if Mrs. Meseke has an Easter spelling list for them or not, I think so and that will be Friday. Those who are leaving early will need to take it early. Monthly Memory is due on Friday or Thurs. Also the book report is due on Friday or Thurs if you are leaving early. There is a math test in my class on Thurs. There will be a written type evaluation for Social Studies that will be due Thurs. Science, we are still working through chapter 11. Mrs. Moore is doing the tie-dying activity this week, some of you still have not responded with a shirt or money please do so tomorrow. If you can help let Mrs. Moore know. If you signed the sheet for helping she is counting on you. Sports Track is happening, but I know no details so check with your child or Mr. Anders at this point. That is it for today.

The April book report and Monthly Memory are due next Friday or before if you are leaving Friday. Achievement testing is complete for everyone who was here all week Palm Sunday Singers - they should be here at 7:30 to warm up with the adult choir and they should wear black on the bottom and white on top.

assignment update 4-12-11

There were no new assignments today. We did complete 3 achievement tests. Mrs. Brown returned the Writing Workshop Shroud of Turin papers with editing comments. The final copy of the paper should be done next Tues. April 19. My class for math should be working on corrections, so that by Thurs. they have all corrections in for lessons up through 92. Memory for Friday is Is. 41:10 on page 97 Many of the class are reading books hopefully their book report book and working on Monthly Memory. Both of those are due next Friday or Thursday.

Monday newsletter 4-11-11

General This is Achievement test week ie "SAT's". They did real well today. Continue to encourage good sleep and eating something for breakfast. We do take breaks so if they have something nutritional they want to bring to school for a mid-morning snack they may. Friday is a dress down day for food for the food pantry. I believe they do "Easter baskets" here at Trinity. The Tweet should have what food items they are looking for, if not money will also work. Sunday is Palm Sunday. Those of you who said your child could sing Sunday at the 8:00 am service will hear a little more about that later this week. They will be practicing with Mr. Finazzo this week sometime. Work There will be a Friday memory this week which is Isaiah 41:10 on page 97. There is no spelling this week. Math is Thurs and Fri this week. Until that time my class should work on corrections and lesson 96 should done by Thurs. They need to grade lesson 92 on their own and try to grade lesson 94 on their own. We are giving the regional reports in class for Social Studies. There will be an evaluation for that chapter, but it will not be a knowledge test. Science we are working on chapter 11. The book report book should be brought to school every day so they can read when they finish the achievement test and others haven't finished. Same with Monthly Memory, they can study it while others are finishing the test and at a break time, they can write it. If they get April's done they should move right on the May's which is Third and Fourth part of Baptism. Each part is divided into two parts. Sports The track people had a meeting with Mr. Anders so they should know when he is starting practice. There is a uniform usage fee for track. That is all for today. In His Service, Deanna Hollrah

Math - no classes Mon., Tues., and Wed this week. My class should work on corrections and lesson 96 Memory - Isaiah 41:10 on page 97 English - WS 5 front and back in cursive they should bring their book home it is on prepositions Reading - this is a good week to work on reading their book report book. There often is time after they finish with testing when others are still working. Monthly Memory - also a good week to work on this month's memory and start on May's memory. Testing will be going on during the mornings this week.

Math - my math class has lesson 96 for Thurs. Mr. Anders' class has lesson 100. These are due on Thurs next week because of achievement tests. English - WS 75 or 4 is due on Monday Next week is achievement tests or SAT's however you want to call them. Again assist your child in helping them get a good nights sleep and to eat something for breakfast. They also should make sure they pack their book report book because they can read if they finish earlier than their classmates. They also can work on their monthly memory. They can study while others are finishing and do the memory when we finish the test. I still have some report card envelopes and tests out that need to be signed or notes sent, please check and take of this. That is all have a good weekend.

Math - my class has lesson 94 and Mr. Anders' class has lesson 99 English - WS 4 but I put WS 75 on the board for the page number on the bottom of the page. It is a front and back assignment and done in cursive due Monday. Memory - Eph. 4: 31-32 on page 91 Spelling - test on the word list given them on Tues. The Palm Sunday note is due tomorrow if your child wants to sing at the 8:00 am service on April 17. Math - my class has lesson 92 and Mr. Anders' class has lesson 98 Reading - they received the information for the April book report it is due before Easter vacation, April 22. If you are not going to be here on Good Friday, it has to be turned in on Thursday or before. English - WS 3 is due tomorrow Spring pictures are tomorrow. Everyone will get their picture taken, then they will tempt you with the proofs to see if you want to buy any of the pictures. Don't forget the note about the tie dye project for art class. There are still some tests or notes need to be turned in. That is all for today

Spelling - test on Friday, they have no project this week. English - WS 3 front and back in cursive due on Thurs. Reading - WS 139 comprehension for the story for The Night of the Twister.

Math - my class has corrections, anyone who does not have corrections in through lesson 86 needs to have them tomorrow, we are on lesson 90. I don't know what Mr. Anders' class has for tomorrow. Memory - Eph. 4:31-32 on page 91 is due for Friday Reading - WS 139 due on Wed. Social Studies - they are working on a group project, and they should have their test signed for chapter 6 English - have their test signed for chapter 4 on adjectives. Writing Workshop - type the rough draft for the Shroud of Turin paper.

Monday newsletter 4-4-11

General Next week is achievement testing or "SAT's" as some call them. Just remind your child they are nothing to worry or stress out about. They are tests more for us as teachers, to make sure everyone is achieving as they should in the academic areas. They should try to do their best to answer the questions, but they have nothing to do with grades and so forth. It is important as it is for every day to get enough rest the night before and to eat something for breakfast. You will be getting the results of the test at the end of the school year. The good things for the students, we don't have as many classes during the week and that means less homework and so forth. So they need to focus on the good things and not on the fact it is a week of tests. This Friday is the casual day for the girls which they won last month for bringing in the most box tops. Work Friday's memory is Eph. 4: 31-32 on page 91. There will be a spelling test and project on Friday. They will receive their list tomorrow. The rough draft for the Shroud of Turin needs to be typed for tomorrow's Writing Workshop class. For the people in my math class they have to have corrections through lesson 86 turned in tomorrow or they will have a work detention. We are on lesson 90 and we started on lesson 81. They should never get more than 3 lessons behind on corrections. If they do, I will be giving them a work detention to get caught up. Tests have been sent today and some last week. Today they received their Social Studies test and English tests. They need to be signed or a note sent in by next Monday, April 11th. The Science test or note is due tomorrow April 5th. Report card envelopes and the quarter signing sheet should be in and the old Social Studies test should be in. There are still a few people who have those out. This month's book report topic is "award winners" . These are books that have won some literary award. Since the last school day of the month is quite early for April, I will be giving them the "how" to do the book report information this week. The monthly memory for April is the First and Second parts of Baptism. They are easier than March's memory, but anyone who gets done early should start on May's because they are harder again. There are no tests scheduled this week. Sports Mr. Anders said there was going to be a track meeting this week. He met with the students who signed up today just to talk with them quickly.
