Monday note 11-1-10

General
The first quarter ended last Friday all late and absent work needed to be turned in Friday unless it was late or absent on Friday then it was to be handed in today. All math lessons were to be handed in today for lessons up through 30. Report cards will be handed out on Friday. Please check to see if your child has any owes that need to be taken care before then. Parent teacher conferences will be next week. You should receive a note tomorrow as to the day and time of your conference. If you need to make a change call me or check with the office for finding an open slot for changing to. There are a few open areas on Wed. and Thurs. The Good News Choir sings this Sunday at the 8:00 am service. We need to be here by 7:40 am. It is the All Saints Day Worship Service. Everyone must have had a good Reformation/Halloween yesterday. They were quite chatty today.
Work Friday Memory is John 20:31 on page 39 it is due on Friday. There will be a spelling test on Friday. Mrs. Meseke is with her daughter and grandson this week and she has a substitute in for her for the week. There will be an English test on Thurs. for chapter 2 on Nouns. We will start a new science chapter on Wed. and we are working in groups for reports for the Native Americans chapter 2 in Social Studies. Monthly Memory for the Month of November is the 9th and 10th commandments and the meanings and the Close of the Commandments (not the meaning). There are only 3 memories for Nov. The Book report topic is a book about Native Americans or about Thanksgiving.
Sports
Basketball for the boys and the girls begins today as well as cheerleading. Girls practice early and the boys practice late. Remember there is no study time on Mondays so the boys will need to make arrangements with SAC or go home and come back or something. One year a parent watched those boys who couldn't go home and come back. If your child makes the team there is a parent meeting on Wed. after the practices. This information is in the letter that was sent home last week.
Other
I can't think of any "other" at this time so I guess that is all for this week. Check assignment updates for daily work.
In His Service,
Deanna Hollrah
