What a Friday. Sorry if you got caught in the come to school then go back home this morning. L'Anse Creuse called off school very late. I was driving into the parking lot at 7:15 when I heard it on the radio. The staff all made it in and was amazed but we got some much needed work done. Here are some reminders for Monday.
Memory - Friday's memory will be due on Monday
Spelling - the spelling test and project will be due on Tues
Solar System projects are due on Monday. There will be tables in the hallway for them.
Good News Choir sings at the 11:00 am service on Sunday. They need to be here by 10:40 am to warm up with Mr. Finazzo. Mrs. Scheiderer will be out of town on Sunday for something special with her family. They will be docked points if they arrive late. Mr. Finazzo needs to be in the church near 10:50 for the service.
Lutheran Schools Week is next week. There is a special dress for each day next week. Monday is "going fishing" day. They should dress like they would if they were going fishing. Tues. is beach day. Wed. is dress up day. Thurs. is the "Big Fish" t-shirt day and Friday is normal dress for Special Persons Day.
Here is some information that you will get in a note about a special project I need your help with for Lutheran Schools Week.
Using the "FISH" theme I would like each 5th grader take 4 or 5 pictures of themselves doing some type of service for someone. It can be doing something for you, a sibling, a neighbor, a relative, etc. The pictures should include: 1 beginning picture, 2 or 3 action/doing pictures and 1 finish picture or a picture of whom was served. If you could, print a 4x6 print of the pictures that would be great. If you can't print them, email them to me. This needs to be done by Thurs. Mar. 10th. On Thurs. we will use the pictures and arrange them in the shape of a fish on the wall outside of the classroom. Thanks for your help in this project.
